HCG Tennis Board Game
The game enables you to contest matches featuring today’s
professional stars as well as the greatest players of all time. Play an entire tournament or pit your
favorite players in individual matches using dice and charts. Players are rated for play on hard, clay,
grass, and carpeted surfaces. Each
player has quick-play ratings as well as ratings for aces, first serve
percentage, double faults, rallying in service and return games, opponent’s
aces, winners, unforced errors, forehand, backhand, speed/court coverage, and
set winning percentage. Set winning
percentages enable you to quickly play matches.
The other ratings are used to play matches point by point. Modern players are rated based on match
statistics. Older stars are evaluated
based on their reputed skills and winning percentage.
After rolling to determine the result of a serve, usually only one additional dice roll is required to determine the winner of a point. Players with a plus forehand, backhand, or speed rating sometimes negate a dice roll and extend a point which they would have otherwise lost.
The all-time great players included are based on his or her
best season. The players included are
the best players from the 19th, 20th, and 21st
centuries. Players known for their
cannonball serves such as Bill Tilden, Ellsworth Vines, Jack Kramer, Pancho
Gonzales, Lew Hoad, Roscoe Tanner, Boris Becker, Pete Sampras, Goran Ivanisevic,
Andy Roddick, Ivo Karlovic, John Isner, Helen Wills, Alice Marble, Althea Gibson,
Margaret Smith Court, Samantha Stosur, The Williams sisters will be among the
ace leaders.
Jean Borotra, Jack Crawford, Bunny Austin, Jimmy Connors, Jimmy
Arias, Richard Gasquet, Molla Bjurstedt, Marion Jones, Bunny Ryan, Arantxa
Sanchez-Vicario, and Caroline Wozniacki will place most of their serves in
play.
Laurie and Reggie Doherty, Wilfred Baddeley, Henri Cochet, Rene
